Day Two from our Artistic Director

From Artistic Director, Joe Murphy:

So.

Sunday night.

The article has been chosen.

Cue scrambled e-mails, tweets and facebook conversations between Joel and myself about why the article was chosen and what its important connotations were.  In the end we decided to pursue how the article discusses the way in which the reality TV format is starting to infect the way we live our lives.

With the bread-and-circus principles of reality TV becoming a legitimate way to judge ourselves and our lives, we have decided to create a show that forces the audience to confront the potentially brutal and elitist consequences of such a commercial philosophy.

And have a stupid amount of fun in the process.

So.

Monday night.

The article has been chosen.

The concepts have been discussed.

Oh yes, the week roles on and we have an idea!  That most elusive of creatures was nailed to the wall with Mr Horwood’s ‘thought-arrow’ fired from his bow of creativity.

Now, if we can just get a script…

Cue Joel furiously writing. I for one can’t wait to see the first draft!

So.

Tuesday Night.

The article has been chosen.

The concepts have been discussed.

The idea has been pierced with a ‘thought-arrow’.

Let the games begin…
