After an incredible month at the Edinburgh Festival (and a well earned week’s rest for Rosie), we are very excited to embark on our triumphant split week tour of Watford & Colchester.
Not only will the south finally get a chance to see what all the fuss was about in Edinburgh, but we also have some brilliant nabokov post show events to look forward to!
On Monday night after the evening’s performance of BUNNY at The Watford Palace, there will be a performance of Jessica Hynes’ brilliant short play The Sock (which debuted at the March nabokov Arts Club) performed by the wonderful Emily Lawrance and Ben Benson, and directed by Kirsty Patrick Ward.
The lucky Watford audience will then enjoy a performance by the simply fantastic Brigitte Aphrodite and friends (including Sarah Mather, Emma Garrett, Conrad Sharp and Tom Allen) directed by Laura Keefe – what a treat!
We’ve had a wonderful week rehearsing The Sock –debating gender roles and stereotypes, dissecting the couple’s (all to familiar) argument, getting used to our microphones and discussing at length the joys and nightmares of communal living, even with those dearest to us. We can’t wait to see whose side the audience will take in this battle of wits!
