The toughest creative challenge in town is back at Southwark Playhouse on Sunday 27 September 2009.

Present : Tense challenges the UK's top artistic talent to tackle the hottest topic of the moment in just seven days, in collaboration with other artists from different disciplines.

For Present : Tense / Twelve we've asked three top artists to curate their own collaborations. Here they are:

ISOBEL COHEN
Artistic Director/choreographer of dance-theatre company Helix Dance.
Working with: LUKE WRIGHT (Poet)

ANDREW STEGGALL
Founder and artistic director of The Motion Group.
Working with: HASSAN ABDULRAZZAK (Playwright)

ANTHEA WILLIAMS
Associate Director at The Bush Theatre in charge of bushfutures
Working with: TOM GIBBONS (Sound Designer), MIKA HANDLEY (Designer), ALASDAIR HOPWOOD (Artist), MORGAN LLOYD MALCOLM (Playwright)

Plus, more artists to be confirmed during the week.

The groups meet tonight to select the most momentous story on the news agenda. They then have seven days to create a piece of work that responds to the story they choose before it is performed live exactly one week after they began.

Throughout the week you can follow their progress over on the present : tense blog where the artists will be posting daily updates. Click on 'Comment' below and have your say too. And you can follow events live on Twitter.

Meantime, quick, book your ticket!
