Ah, spring is in the air. And already our thoughts are turning to July when we'll once again be pitching up in a field in Suffolk and getting stuck in to the most hotly anticipated weekend of the year.
Oh yes, the Latitude Festival 2009 line-up has been announced and we're very excited to be back for the fourth year running. Yes, that's us just underneath the Pet Shop Boys.
We'll be presenting brand new short plays specially commissioned for the festival alongside work from The RSC, The National, The Bush, Paines Plough, The Lyric Hammersmith and The Royal Opera House.
We're also excited to announce a one-off Latitude Festival appearance for our new touring show IS EVERYONE OK?
Our brilliant writer-in-residence Joel Horwood has written short plays for the last two Latitude Festivals that went down such a storm we're reviving them, alongside a brand new third play that completes a 60 minute triptych.
Anyone who saw the original IS EVERYONE OK? in 2007 or PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION in 2008 will know that these are short plays like no others - performed at velocity by actors from behind microphone stands blurring the boundary between theatre and stand-up.
IS EVERYONE OK? has a special one-off performance on the Thursday night of Latitude before touring national and international festivals over the summer and studio theatres in the Autumn.
Sheesh, we're excited. See you there.
