Lukewright Compere and Poetics

Luke Wright is the true alternative poet laureate. The leading light of a new wave of stand-up poet taking the noble art by the scruff of the neck and delighting audiences at comedy clubs, indie gigs and literary festivals. A 2007 4Talent Award winner, Luke is the founder of Aisle16, a regular on TV and Radio and the host of Glastonbury’s Cabaret stage. He is the creative force behind the Poetry Arena at The Latitude Festival. His two solo shows Poet Laureate and Poet & Man received five star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe before major UK tours

Polarbear is a Brummie who speaks stories. Formed in the North Pole from a combination of Hip-Hop and Bukowski, he tells of everyday things for everyone to relate to. His style and delivery will take you with him on journeys to places you’re sure you know.

Simon Brodkin is one of the country's most exciting comedians. His first solo show sold out every night at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2006 and won the The Writer's Guild Award for Best Newcomer and he will shortly be appearing as a core cast member of Al Murray's brand new Sketch show for ITV1, Al Murray's Multiple Personality Disorder.

Scroobius_small Poetics

Scroobius Pip took spoken word to the Top 40 with his hit record Thou Shalt Always Kill with producer dan le sac. From starting in the spoken word scene in 2006, he has had a varied and interesting journey which has included winning several slams, hitting the charts and touring the UK, USA and Europe. It all culminates with the forthcoming release of the dan le sac vs scroobius pip album "Angles" which received a 4 star review in Mojo magazine. Who says spoken word HAS to be restricted to coffee shops?
