Our new show: Artefacts by Mike Bartlett

Psst. Here's the inside track on our new show. It's not been officially announced yet but we wanted you to hear it here first.

We're hugely excited to be producing the World Premiere of Artefacts by Mike Bartlett at The Bush in February next year. The show previews from 20 February and runs until 22 March. It then embarks on a national tour.

Artefacts is Mike’s second play following the huge success of his debut, My Child, which played to rave reviews downstairs at The Royal Court in May 2007, directed by Sacha Wares:

“What great theatre is all about”
Sunday Telegraph

“Brutal, thrilling...unmissable”
Evening Standard

“A sharp splinter of a play... sends shockwaves through the audience.”
Financial Times

Mike is described by The Stage as “one of the most exciting new talents to emerge in recent times”, and we're thrilled to be working with him.

Artefacts was commissioned by nabokov and has been developed at The Old Vic under the auspices of Old Vic New Voices. The play won the inaugural Old Vic New Voices Award for new writing and will be supported into production by The Old Vic. Our Associate Producer Emma Brunjes has also won a Stage One / Society of London Theatres New Producer's Bursary for Artefacts. The national tour of Artefacts is generously supported by Arts Council England, East.

Artefacts will be directed by our artistic director James Grieve and designed by Lucy Osborne.

As soon as we have more news on cast or creative team, we'll post it here, so keep your eyes peeled on the newsblog. Full details on the show and how to book will be posted on here too - very soon. Yay.
