Three Weeks
August 2002 (online)

Domestic bliss in Milton Keynes? Not likely in this tense work from Australian playwright Vanessa Badham. Darkly comic, it is a clever exploration of the roles of husband and wife in a modern day relationship. Owen's redundancy puts his position in the house in danger and he must battle to regain superiority. As time ticks on, the tension increases and the trappings of society are slowly shed until the final, brutal climax. Nina Millns is excellent as manipulative Helene; so much so George Perrin as Owen doesn't quite match up to her skill. But this is definitely a play worth seeing - guaranteed to make you think.
