"One day all festivals will be like this" - The Independent

For the third year running, we're producing three brand new plays at The Latitude Festival, commissioned from three of the UK's most exciting young writers - John Donnelly, Joel Horwood and Alexandra Wood.

We've also teamed up with Paines Plough and Oran Mor to present their acclaimed production of Crazy Love by Ché Walker, last seen at The nabokov Arts Club.

The Latitude Festival takes place over three days in the glorious surroundings of Henham Park on Suffolk's sunrise coast. Alongside us on a stellar bill of theatre is work from The Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre Connections, The Royal Court, The Bush, Paines Plough and Drywrite amongst many more. Latitude 08 also boasts Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros and Interpol headlining the main music stage and a thrillingly eclectic programme of Poetry, Literature, Comedy and Film across 15 arenas.

John Donnelly
John's plays include Bone (Royal Court Theatre Upstairs), Myrna Molloy (Operating Theatre Company), Showtime (LAMDA), Heat and Light (Heat and Light Company, Hampstead Theatre), Songs of Grace and Redemption (Liminal Theatre/ Theatre 503) and Alarm and Distress (Redbridge Drama Centre). He is a past winner of both the PMA Award for Best Writer and the NSDF Sunday Times Playwriting Award, and has recently completed an attachment at the National Theatre.

Joel Horwood
Joel is a member of the Royal Court/BBC 'The 50' scheme and took part in The Old Vic New Voices 24 Hour Plays in November 2006. He is currently nabokov's playwright-in-residence. His plays include: I Caught Crabs in Walberswick (Hightide Festival), The Count of Monte Cristo (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Is Everyone Okay (nabokov), Stoopud Fucken Animals (Traverse), Food (Traverse) and Mikey the Pikey (Edinburgh Festival Fringe).

Alexandra Wood
Alexandra was born and lives in London. She studied at York and Birmingham Universities, and took part in the Royal Court's Young Writers Programme. The Eleventh Capital was produced as part of the Young Writers Festival 2007, and with it she won the George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright 2007. Her commission for the Royal Court, The Lion's Mouth, was seen as part of the Rough Cuts season in January this year. She is currently working with director Natalie Abrahami on a play to be produced at the Gate in early 2009. She is the former Literary Manager and current writer-in-residence at Finborough Theatre.

He is a winner of the George Devine Award and The Arts Council Writers of The Future Award.
