Following its triumphant debut in May, our extravaganza of theatre, music, comedy, poetry, film and lots more returns on Saturday 13 September 2008 at the awe-inspiring Village Underground.
SLEEVE NOTES and KILL JOY
A crack team comprising playwrights DUNCAN MACMILLAN and GARY OWEN, designers Paul Burgess and Simon Daw, and nabokov artistic director George Perrin have been locked away in the studio creating a breathtaking installation inspired by Duncan and Gary’s exquisite short plays Sleeve Notes and Kill Joy, through which you can wander, wide-eyed, while listening to the plays.

Fresh from supporting Kate Nash on tour, the most exciting new act on the spoken word circuit brings her inimitable brand of ‘floetry’ to the Arts Club.

Just like shorts, The nabokov Arts Club will showcase the best new work, first, from the most exciting new artists anywhere. But with 5,000²ft of floor space to fill, we’ll also be adding the biggest names in the business to the heady mix. Expect explosive new plays, side-splitting comics, stunning cinematography, high-voltage poetics, rabble-rousing live bands, superstar DJs and lashings of atmosphere. Plus booze, food, dancing and general tomfoolery till 2am.
